It takes a certain amount of skill, over and above a natural talent, to be a good musician, but it takes something more to become a performer. You have to enjoy what you are doing and, more importantly, enjoy where you are doing it. It was most evident that you and Ines bring more than just wonderful music to any engagement at which you appear.

For our wedding, you were tasked with determining what "non-traditional" music to play and you chose well. Everyone (yes, everyone), commented on both your abilities and your personalities. Your "job" was to be in the background, and this you did, but you were also a part of the afternoon. You both openly, and in very good humour on your part, greeted everyone who came to talk with you and put up with some of the teasing that went on. (Uhm ... really sorry about that Stairway to Heaven thing, Chris was flogged later that day.)

The one request that I did make, with regard to the music that you were to play that afternoon, was well received by you, and very well played at that. However, I must say, that's the first time I've heard I's the B'y played with such ... class! Don't despair though, all the East Coasters in the room recognized it and were toe-tapping along with the fiddlin'.

I can not say enough about what you brought, not just musically, to the afternoon. Your candor, attitude, and sense of ease all fit in very well with the atmosphere that was important to have at our wedding. Thank you."

I frantically searched the internet for a well-renowned, affordable quartet in the Toronto area, and came across the Bellamusica Chamber Ensemble. I contacted Michelle via email and within a few hours she had replied to confirm that her ensemble was available for the weekend ceremony. From locating the best musicians to helping with the selection of appropriate music for each portion of the wedding ceremony, Michelle was extremely helpful and throughout the next four days her communication with me was impeccable. The day of the wedding, the ceremony unfortunately began about an hour late. However, Michelle and her string quartet remained on site patiently, without complaint, until the bridal party was ready to begin. The quartet sounded beautiful and all cues were followed precisely.
